A gazelle I am not...

So yesterday Loni and I went walking on the Monan. It was a crisp late morning with fall in the air and soft leaves were occasionally falling from their home. It was beautiful! I didn't know how far we were going but we each were going at our own pace and it felt great. However I knew better but I forgot to bring water and despite it being cool and knowing that b/c it wasn't hot I wasn't going to get too hot, I still knew I should have brought water. I made it though despite a few paniced moments toward the end. Loni says I walked almost three miles which is really quite good for a constant walking and no stopping. I'm a bit sore today and I should have stretched afterwards as I had a few leg cramps as I was driving home but otherwise I'm ok.
Loni walks 5 miles frequently and I'm very proud and jealous that she can do that. I cannot even imagine walking 5 miles. Her goal is to walk to 96th street and back. She lives at 161st. Insane right? I guess not in reality it just sounds SOOO far in between from each other. LOL
I'll admit I gauge my exercise in minutes not so much miles which I'm not sure which is better. I think that took us just over an hour. I think
I had a great time this weekend with my friends. There was a time I never did anything but in recent months I find my self almost every weekend with something to do. And now that Loni lives relatively close by we can do alot more stuff. Outside of the guilt factor of this blog, she's one of my biggest motivators. This stomach aka tire isn't going to deflate by itself, it needs exercise, portion control, and being able to throw my procrastination gene out the window.
On with the show my friends!!
More later....

Work pitch-ins

Today is Boss's day and my area brought in breakfast food for our boss. My office is notorious about bringing in food for just about any holiday, celebration, whatever that we can think of. And its not like we all love to bake, half the time its store bought. lol My sister is amazed we don't all weigh 500 pounds because as we all know the food we bring in is far from healthy. Sure once in a while someone will bring in fruit salad. Heck I even brought salad makings once (which wasn't eaten as much as the other stuff mind you). One time instead of the typical Halloween candy bowl, when I sat at the front help desk, I brought in a bowl of fruit (apples, oranges , bananas ) .... I think one person took something in week. It was sad people! So I am start at a vanilla pound cake, a blueberry crumble cake, a frosting covered brownie, and Oj ...well I suppose the OJ is good for you. Yummmy for it all.....I couldn't resist because 1 I hadn't had breakfast so I was sta...

A Dozen Later

Okay so it hasn't been a bakers dozen of years....oh wait it has been. I can do math, yay! Anyone miss me? This blog? Guess not since even I forgot about it! Whoopsydaisy! I will eventually catch ya'll up but basically in the last 13 years I've bought a house (2011), got a new car (Jeep, 2018) and got married (2019). I also avoided catching COVID during the pandemic. The pandemic resulted me working remotly from home which resulted me to lose about 30lbs. So, I am on the downhill side of the scale. Yay! Far from my goal weight but better than I was 2 years ago! My plan is to ressurect this blog with my hopefully-still-there writing skills so I can vent out my life to readers and to entertain you at the same time so as to keep you coming back for more!

Din din....

Store bought pre-made rotisserie chicken and a single serving of steamed corn. Pretty tasty for an quickie dinner. since I've started this I've lost about 15 lbs but I tend to fluctuate those last 5 lbs. Its been, what over a month and half? Not too bad I guess but I know I could have done better had I moved more. same ol ' story with that LOL Laundry and catching up on my magazine reading is on my schedule tonight .... Speaking of...laundry is calling!!
