Sunday

I did ok today. I was up in Indy. Had an great breakfast despite it being filled with starbucks and cinnimon rolls. :) Then after a nice afternoon at the IMA my friend Loni and I had a late lunch at a downtwon mexican resturante. Not sure I'll even need dinner...might just snack on something later...still very full.... Exercising starts tomorrow!!

The first Saturday

Its a beautiful Saturday morning. I smell Fall just around the corner. I LOVE fall. If....I will say when I get married it will be in the Fall, outside and preferably by a body of water (not a pool). LOL I had canteloupe and eggs this morning for breakfast. Almost choked on the eggs tho....my throad said..."WAIT! Eggs!? What is that?!" Yes I am not a big fan of eggs, never have been a fan even as ababy, so I'm told. The best way for me to eat them is via egg sandwhiches. NOT Egg Salad sandwhich...ewww....just plain old toast (2 pieces) with egg between. I must say, however, the canteloupe was VERY tasty :) I will be heading up to my friend Loni's house north of Indy where we most likly will eat out at least once....I must not splurge on my eating choices....I must choose wisely and remind myself that I don't have to eat everything on my plate. :)

chicken!

I made chicken and corn tonight. I don't usually do chicken unless its fried chicken no less white meat....I'm a dark meat/chicken kind of girl. But it was, surprisingly good! Now my corn...well it started out as corn on the cob but I ended up cutting off the cob within about 2 mins of it being done...LOL I had some cashews beforehand tho.....it was free at CVS so why not!! Love them cashews! There is nothing on TV....all reruns...I should go fold some clothing or knit something or yes, I will say study?!

Thurs

I cheated.....yes, I had McDonalds' for breakfast....who knew I'd feel guilty this early in the process? LOL My justification is that I am having leftovers for lunch so 1. I won't spend anymore money and 2. dinner was very yummy last night so leftovers will be good. LOL Speaking of dinner I made pasta carbonara. Yes..pasta...probably not the best thing for me...carbs carbs carbs...my evil nemisis....but I like to mkae it because its easy and yummy. I did however forget to put the peas in it but oh well. I've made it a few times before but have not been able to get the right combination by measure of indigredients so usually the cheese is all gloopy and the assemblance of a sauce is too watery. However last night it all came together. That might have been b/c I actually referenced a cook book which had eggs in the mix which I hadn't done before and good cheese. The sauce was perfect! No gloopyness or anything. I was very happy. I finally cut into that cantelope y...

Hump Day (Wed)

I made zucchini bread last night, two giant loaves. My co-workers are munching they hearts content on them this morning. I had a piece this morning along with some yogurt. I would kill for some OJ right now but instead it's water sluicing down my throat at an ice cold rate. I watched " More To Love " last night and was in rapture at the craziness of that show. Where do they find these girls? Do they put out an ad asking for girls of a larger size w/ no security in themselves and little adult maturity no less any kind of experience with me - please sign up here? I cringed several times and even at one or two points had to turn the channel because I just couldn't watch the scene. There is only one girl on there that I like and I think she goes well with whats-his-name, who btw I'm not so sure about. He did finally turn away, finally, the one girl I couldn't stand so I'm at least happy I don't have to put up with her. I got the academic SRSC ( IU ...

Cell phone

I need to learn how to blog via my cell phone. I already Twitter and FB via my phone ...it would make things a bit easier tho a bit on the short side probably for a blog.... Dinner last nite - potato w/a pre dinner snack of some chips and spinch dip and a piece of chicken and fruit (alumni event). Not too bad ...I was watching my portions despite the fact that I LOVE spinch artichoke dip... Breakfast - cereal If money allows I might go out for lunch....we'll see...

Lunch

Lunch consisted of grilled cheese - made onthe stove, not the college version via micro, and a yougurt. However 3 hrs later I've already munched on some quaker mini cheese rice cakes... And I'm having a coke but that is only b/c I have an alumni event tonight and need to stay up for it. I really wanted some of the cantelope I bought but I havne't cut it up yet and didn't want to get into that somewhat messy situation during my quick-at-home-lunch. Maybe I'll cut it up tonight. Granted I really need to make some zuchinni bread with the ginormous (its a weapon) zuchinni my sister gave me. I don't want it to go bad!

Monday...

Its Monday morning and I've got alot on my plate today. Work will be very busy and I've got an alumni event (6pm, at the DAC, Football Kickoff - Come!!). So I started out with a good breakfast - Cereal and a chilled banana. If I'm going to eat them they are going to be chilled. I got about half way through and was going to quit but thought "Jesus Emily you are going to have one hell of a problem if you can't even eat one banana!" So I ate it with no further inner dialogue. I don't know what is on the plate for lunch...I didn't have time to make it so I will be going home....maybe a PBJ or a GC w/ a side of yummy grapes? We'll see I guess...

The List

Morning... It's Sunday, the day of rest...or its suppose to be. So far I haven't done much resting. I did however do a bit of yard work and washed my car. Now I need to make a grocery list as I desperately need to visit the store. So the first real challenge of the day. Making a list of items that don't involve meals in a box. Not that I eat frozen meals all the time but they are convenient to take to work for lunch. I'm going to try to do some meals that have leftovers for lunch. Actual meals folks. That is a big thing for me b/c I just don't cook all that often. It's not that I don't know how I just don't have the patience.... lol Cooking for one is one of the hardest things to do ...so they say. I would agree. More fruits and veggies need to get into my fridge. I need to weigh myself so I have a starting point....maybe later today after I shower. Don't expect me to post that # btw . I will have to think about that... lol Maybe a picture tho...

Numero Uno baby

Hi there... I saw the movie Julie & Julia a few weeks ago and have since wondered if I should start a blog about something. The whole blogging world intriques me. But what should I write about that I want to put down "on paper" or that others might want to read? I had no idea. So I took a few weeks to think about what I would write about and came up with this. I would write about my journey to get into shape and lose this ridiculous weight I've been unwillingly carrying around. So here it is August 22nd, 2009 and I hope that this blog will prove to be motivation to get my ass off the couch and moving. So the fat girl that is shadowing the inner me melts and goes away.
