A Case of the Monday's

Morning folks,
I hope all ya'll weekends were good. Mine was full of being outside which was perfect because it was BEAUTIFUL outside! Great begining to the Fall Season. On Saturday I worked an Alumni Tailgate which involved a food drive and big auction. It was well attended and I had a good time. On Sunday I spent the afternoon with my best friend Loni hiking at McCormick's Creek. She convienced me to go a classfied "rugged" trail and I made it. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but it still kicked my ass especially the last part of all those stairs! I can be a down stair champion but a upstair loser....obviously an area I need to work on. LOL I'm feeling pretty good today. My hips a bit sore but nothing really to complain about. What is that saying...."no pain no gain"...right? Despite the slight annoyance I like to feel the pain after a workout b/c then I know I worked something on my body that needed working.
I hope to go walking after work today or do the BL workout...not sure which one I will do yet. Depends on how today at work goes and if I have my ipod charged up. lol
My parents have apparently gotten rid of bread (loafs not pasta as far as I know) and potatos. This is huge as my dad is a "meat/potatos/toast in them morning" kind of guy. Its been going on for a month! Amazing! I'm so proud! I still have bread and potatos but it takes me forever to go thru them, expecially the bread. And I figure the potatos are a good source of protein so its all about moderation. :)
More later...

Work pitch-ins

Today is Boss's day and my area brought in breakfast food for our boss. My office is notorious about bringing in food for just about any holiday, celebration, whatever that we can think of. And its not like we all love to bake, half the time its store bought. lol My sister is amazed we don't all weigh 500 pounds because as we all know the food we bring in is far from healthy. Sure once in a while someone will bring in fruit salad. Heck I even brought salad makings once (which wasn't eaten as much as the other stuff mind you). One time instead of the typical Halloween candy bowl, when I sat at the front help desk, I brought in a bowl of fruit (apples, oranges , bananas ) .... I think one person took something in week. It was sad people! So I am start at a vanilla pound cake, a blueberry crumble cake, a frosting covered brownie, and Oj ...well I suppose the OJ is good for you. Yummmy for it all.....I couldn't resist because 1 I hadn't had breakfast so I was sta...

A Dozen Later

Okay so it hasn't been a bakers dozen of years....oh wait it has been. I can do math, yay! Anyone miss me? This blog? Guess not since even I forgot about it! Whoopsydaisy! I will eventually catch ya'll up but basically in the last 13 years I've bought a house (2011), got a new car (Jeep, 2018) and got married (2019). I also avoided catching COVID during the pandemic. The pandemic resulted me working remotly from home which resulted me to lose about 30lbs. So, I am on the downhill side of the scale. Yay! Far from my goal weight but better than I was 2 years ago! My plan is to ressurect this blog with my hopefully-still-there writing skills so I can vent out my life to readers and to entertain you at the same time so as to keep you coming back for more!

Din din....

Store bought pre-made rotisserie chicken and a single serving of steamed corn. Pretty tasty for an quickie dinner. since I've started this I've lost about 15 lbs but I tend to fluctuate those last 5 lbs. Its been, what over a month and half? Not too bad I guess but I know I could have done better had I moved more. same ol ' story with that LOL Laundry and catching up on my magazine reading is on my schedule tonight .... Speaking of...laundry is calling!!
