Hump Day again

Its wednesday folks and while I haven't done a true workout, yet, I have done some cleaning around the house which by my standards is great b/c I don't like doing either. LOL Its Fall and its chilly out which I love but makes me want to stay all cuddly in my bed and sleep more. Not good for my epic battle of Exercise vs. Sleep....LOL May the force be with all of us....

Weekend Works

I spent the weekend up at my parents and had a good time. My clothes are clean and folder thanks to my mom (ain't she awesome) and I helped her out in the yard. I'm feeling that work today in the back of my thighs. Feel the burn! It feels good! LOL We actually didn't do too much b/c the boy gardner they hired this summer did a awesome job with the entire yard. This week I am going to try to wake up at 5:30am and work out every morning. I decided to make my goals small b/c I can't seem get to my large goals....I'm just impatient!! So hopefully my alarm will wake me up (it didn't Friday) and I won't let sleep win in the morning. More later...

airport delay

Yes yes I know its like you all are at the airport, delays everywhere! Sorry folks for not keeping up on my writing. I just wasn't feeling it this week outside of feeling that i was busy but that is a poor excuse. I had Pizza Hut tonight, those little pizza rolls. I know, horrible right but so damn tasty!!! I was finally able to clean off my bed...I've had a pile of cleans clothes as my sleeping partner on my kind size bed for weeks now. Its a heavy breather in the sense that it moved up and down in size over these weeks. I sorted at times but just didn't put away. It took my mother to get my bed cleaned off. You see my mother got this new fancy washer/dryer that can wash kind size blankets/ converters which normally I would have to have dry cleaned or take to a laundromat . So in order to have the king size blanket off my bed cleaned I had to clean my bed off so I could get to it!! You might think...does that mean she hasn't changed her sheets? silly people....i would...

A gazelle I am not...

So yesterday Loni and I went walking on the Monan . It was a crisp late morning with fall in the air and soft leaves were occasionally falling from their home. It was beautiful! I didn't know how far we were going but we each were going at our own pace and it felt great. However I knew better but I forgot to bring water and despite it being cool and knowing that b/c it wasn't hot I wasn't going to get too hot, I still knew I should have brought water. I made it though despite a few paniced moments toward the end. Loni says I walked almost three miles which is really quite good for a constant walking and no stopping. I'm a bit sore today and I should have stretched afterwards as I had a few leg cramps as I was driving home but otherwise I'm ok . Loni walks 5 miles frequently and I'm very proud and jealous that she can do that. I cannot even imagine walking 5 miles. Her goal is to walk to 96 th street and back. She lives at 161st. Insane right? I guess not in...

Irish eh!

Morning! I've got lots of things on my schedule this weekend. Last night I had 3 different things to choose from and I choose the movie in the park at Bryan Park. It was The Dark Crystal. It was a chilly nite but great anyway. We had pizza and drinks, blankets and chairs and watched with 100 or more other people! This morning I'm heading to Indy to hang with my friend Loni who has set a goal to us not eating out which is awesome. We are going to go to the Irish Fest and if the weather holds out we might go to the IMA gardens on Sunday. Off I go!

Avoidance

I know I know I haven't written in a whole lot in the last week. I suppose because not much as happened in my life. I can't imagine writing every day especially its a repeat from the day before. I suppose I really would write when something new pops up or is interesting to me. My eating has been curbed for sure due to the blog....its keeping honest and my guilt factor of eating fast food is huge and is making me think about food choices a lot more than I use to which is all great. I'm still in a slump about exercising. I always have good intentions but don't live up to the hype I have built about my "move-my-fat-ass plan". Which of course brings on my guilt. Ughhhh On a totally different note, my close friends over the years have heard of the crazy dreams I have. So tell me please, why do I keep having ones about love ones dying! So far in the last two weeks I've had two about my grandma dying ( RIP MJL Nov. '08 ) and right before I woke up this m...

A Case of the Monday's

Morning folks, I hope all ya'll weekends were good. Mine was full of being outside which was perfect because it was BEAUTIFUL outside! Great begining to the Fall Season. On Saturday I worked an Alumni Tailgate which involved a food drive and big auction. It was well attended and I had a good time. On Sunday I spent the afternoon with my best friend Loni hiking at McCormick's Creek. She convienced me to go a classfied "rugged" trail and I made it. It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but it still kicked my ass especially the last part of all those stairs! I can be a down stair champion but a upstair loser....obviously an area I need to work on. LOL I'm feeling pretty good today. My hips a bit sore but nothing really to complain about. What is that saying...."no pain no gain"...right? Despite the slight annoyance I like to feel the pain after a workout b/c then I know I worked something on my body that needed working. I hope to go walking...

Good girl

So I didn't work out this morning like I had planned. Strange dreams overtook my alarm. That's ok. My plan was to work out Tues, Thurs, Sun, and do some sort of walking bit on the other days. Just had lunch - lunch special at Bucettos...yummm...salad and 1 piece of veggie pizza. On to the afternoon where I'm sure I'll be glued to my seat for it as I've got tons to do! More later...

New week

Well the holiday weekend is over and its Tuesday and I'm knee deep in new hire paperwork and other stuff here at work. Fun times. I did not do too well over the weekend with good food choices. Well what I ate was delicious so it was good , just mabe not so high on the healthy food chart. Burgers, wings, fast food.....eh... But I'm back on track today for the most part tho I did splurge and get a bagel (Bloomingto Bagel Co) with their seasonal yummy pumpkin schmear...yummm But I had oatmeal for lunch which apparently I amde everyone want pancakes after I cooked it b/c it had a mapley-syurpy smell to it. LOL I've rearranged my living room a bit to accomodate easy space for me to work out in my living room. I'm going to try it tonight so lets hope it works out. :)

Holiday weekend

Its Labor Day weekend! Yaaa!! Who doesn't enjoy a three day weekend?! Breakfast was good - homemade egg sandwhich and a Yoplait yogurt. I'm now pondering the rest of my day - my plans, etc. I'm meeting friends at 1 to go to the 4th Street Artist Fair which I havent attended in years. So I guess that will get my walking (exercise) in. I've yet to get to that part of my weight loss plan...you know, the other half of this ordeal....exercising. Yes I know, shame on me. Must get on that . I actually have quite a laundry list of things to do around the house. Serious cleaning and some alumni communications work to be done. If I actually do that cleaning (WHICH I MUST DO!!) that should prove to be quite the exercise due to the type of cleaning (vacuming, cleaning the base boards, mopping, puttng or throwing away. Its September now and I have two months untl a family friend's wedding. While I realize I won't be at all close to my ideal weight, I do hope I have lost so...

Football

Yesterday evening I went completely off track and for that matter I did as well this morning but I have my excuses lined up for you. Yesterday - I attended the first IU Football game of the year so I ingested a hot dog and some wings and had some beer. This morning - I was tired from the long day before, it's Friday, its payday. So I got me some decaf mocha one pump vinella, a bagel, and thru in a yogurt for good measure :) LOL This weekend is labor day where we laborer should be taking a rest from work however I will be doing the complete opposite. My goal is to wash down my residence. Meaning give it a good and deep clean aka wash the base boards, hand/knees wash the floor, actually fold and put awawy all my clean clothes and linens...etc. I do plan to go the 4th street artist fair so that should be fun. I've missed it for the last 5 years or so I'm excited to see what they have. Its suppose to be great outside so that will be a plus :) I hope everyone enjoys thier 3 day ...

2nd week

So I'm in my 2nd week now and so far its been a sllllllllllllooooowwwwww transtition. All my fault really. Right? No one is standing in my way or forcing me to eat bad things or not exercise, the blame is on me. Which of course sucks, don't we all like to blame someone else for our failures? Well ok that is a bit harsh, I would call my speed a complete failure. The very fact that I have this blog has made me rethink many food choices because I have to realize that my eating choices will be written about. Yes I could lie and say I ate salads all week and exercised every day but what would be the point of all of this if I just lied? Sleep is winning the exercise war....My exercise plan was to get up at 6 and workout for 30 mins. I was going to start that yesterday.....it didn't happy. I decided to sleep another 30 mins instead. It was blissful. :) We all need our sleep right? I would say beauty sleep but lets face it this body is not beautiful...LOL... So! I resolve to work o...
