Little Cheat....

I am not perfect, no one is, or at least no one I know is. So I will admit I have cheated these last months. Cheated as in I've had fast food, pizza, surgary desserts, etc. I will say however that my intake is way down from what it was and my portions have grown smaller. I eat less. No more up sizing for me. Wellll ok I tend to upsize my drink but since all I ever drink from restuarantes or fast food is ice tea, I don't consider that cheating. If I actually get pop, so rare btw, I just a small or drink one can. Pop just makes me thirsty for water. LOL Over the years my sister has told me to eat more bananas. I have texture issues tho with some food and that includes bananas. Cut one up and put it in cereal or on icecream, what have you, I can eat it just fine. But a banana by itself it kinda torture. "Torure" you might be saying...eating a banana? Yes, dramatic I know but really, its hard for me to eat an entire banana by itself. However I've been trying to buy 2...

Big game!

Hi everyone! Well its the last football game of the season today. Hoosiers vs Boilermakers (Purdue). We are equally matched this year I hear and I believe the stadium is sold out which is awesome!! So far so good at keeping off those 15lbs that I've lost over the last 3 months. However Thanksgiving looms next week so I really need to watch myself with all those goodies my mom is going to make next week. I'm actually not going to the game or even tailgating but plan to listen to the game (which starts at 3:3)  after I go for a neighborhood walk. I also hope to clean up my office today which I realize is not really exercising but it will be a mental challenge b/c that room is a MESS!! If it warms up enough I also hope to wash my car for the last time this season. But not sure that is actually going to happen b/c it's frosting inthe morning and only going to be 50 today so not sure that's warm enough for me to wash the car LOL We'll see. I hope everyone has some typ...

Another Saturday

The spellcheck has disappeared.....seriously. I noticed it last week and was a bit puzzled and just chucked it up to an odd day on the blog site but today again the spellcheck button is still missing. what the???? this is wierd and annoying. I guess I'm gong to have to email them and ask where it went. So here we are a week later. I didn't pig out a the wedding which is good. And it appears that I didn't gain any weight from the wedding either. Whohoo!! So this week, well and last week as well I have been pondering about buying gym equipment. I spent the week, half heartedly looking up eliptical machines and checking out what I could afford that was worth the money. I quickly found out that I don't have enough flex money to buy one. It would appear to get a good quality machine that includes a warrent is around $1K....so that is not happening. Looks like I have to just get my ass to the gym. I was intially resisting this b/c IU's gym (SRSC) is on the opposite side...

And I'm back...

Well I'm back from Missouri and the Sampanis wedding and it all went fairly well. The bride was beautiful, the weather unusally warm for November but perfect, and the wedding/reception was a full house. A reunion of sorts was had for the grooms side (the side I knew). All the old neighborhood kids (me and others) got together for some pictures and reminiencing. It's been possibly decades since the last time we were all together like that. It was cool. I managed to not eat crazy bad but I didn't starve or deprive myself for sure of the goodies provided. All in moderation and portion size people. PORTION SIZE is so key! So here I am back to the daily grind of the work week. I've sorta unpacked but need to finish that tonight. On to the holidays where yummy homecooking, work pitch-in's, and gifts of food start trapping those of us trying to lose weight. Hopefully I will be able to curb my enthusiam and trigger hand for all that delecious food! Toodles for now!

its arrived!

the wedding is upon me....i leave tomorrow for Missouri . i think i have all the clothes, jewelry , shoes, makeup, etc to get me through it. I've never quite prepared myself for a wedding as i have this one, especially one that I'm not even in, I'm just a guest! however i understand the reasoning behind the big hoopla and am fine with it. i actually find it funny really and cute and so typical of this particular wedding crowd. as i sit here looking out my front window of my duplex and watch the neighborhood birds take a break in the giant pear (not fruit bearing) tree I quickly compare this wedding to the birds mating. now I'm not any kind of bird expert but i do believe when they mate beyond their call, they also push out the breast of the body to show of the colors of their feathers. So that is what we are all doing, showing off and looking good which at a wedding is the one excellent place to do that. I guess I've just never been too much into fashion and ...
