why is it that when attending a wedding one must almost always buy something new? I have a wedding at the beginning of November for a long time family friend. Finding an outfit not only for the wedding itself but for the rehearsal has been quite the ordeal for my sister and I. Our initial expectations of dress were dashed two weekend ago and we both had to go back to the drawing board and malls with credit cards in hand. My mom, the queen of clothing for every affair possible is pretty much set I think so she was there to support us in any way she can and for me that was so needed. I'm on a tight budget so its nice when the parental units can come help a sista' out here and there. Plus the "Kirkmanopolous'" have to show well at the wedding right? LOL My dad got a new suit and is going to look very swanky from the looks of it. My dad has always looked dashing and years younger than his actual age. A skin gene I pray that I inherited. So far I don't have wrinkles that I can see so its going well so far. LOL
Anyhow, I have always hate...let me repeat HATED underwear "sucker upper" things. You know, those underwear garments that ladies wear to keep everything smooth and to instantly lose a size or two. I say, show what God gave you. Why hide it? Plus they are so damn uncomfortable. I originally had plan to lose lots of weight before the wedding but that plan has been delayed. I've only lost about 10lbs and it hasn't made too much of a difference and I've got two weeks to go and I'm not a "starve" yourself kind of "dieter".
I have probably 75% of my outfits prepared, just missing a blouse for Friday night and I'm still assessing my shoe issue for that night as well. Who knows about jewelry....I only wear silver so I have a plethora (sorta) to choose from that I already own. I've also waited an extra month to get my hair cut (weekend after next!) b/c of the wedding. My hair, for those who don't know is long and thick. I have thick individual hair and alot of it. I've been told I have dream hair b/c its also red. But when its this long, thinning is important b/c it gets unmanageable too soon and right now its' crazy. Ponytails are my friends right now. LOL
Ok, I really need to do some work so la te dah....may your day be swell!!
