libations

for the most part I drink water or ice tea. i rarely drink pop and even more rarer actually buy it. sometimes I get lemonade but overall outside of liquor that is what I drink which I think is great b/c pop is the devil...I will never forget on BGLSR a few years ago they show how much sugar one consumed by having one pop a day for an entire year.....it was frightening. scary proportions people...
now liquor...of course i will have pop if it goes appropriately with a liquor like rum/coke combo but i don't drink the hard stuff very often ...I'm a beer/wine girl.
This weekend I'm not only going to a big football game (IU vs OSU) but it'll be at night (so I need to stay warm) and afterwards my old college friends and I are heading out to the bar(s).
I was planning on working out on Sunday aka going for a hike but lets see how big my hangover might be since I don't drink all that often anymore.....
as my friend Loni says...I might tie one down Saturday nite....umm I think I might have written that wrong ...anyway...I'm ready to fly free and have fun fun fun...no ms grandma here!!
no its not friday yet it just feels like it.
more to come later....

Work pitch-ins

Today is Boss's day and my area brought in breakfast food for our boss. My office is notorious about bringing in food for just about any holiday, celebration, whatever that we can think of. And its not like we all love to bake, half the time its store bought. lol My sister is amazed we don't all weigh 500 pounds because as we all know the food we bring in is far from healthy. Sure once in a while someone will bring in fruit salad. Heck I even brought salad makings once (which wasn't eaten as much as the other stuff mind you). One time instead of the typical Halloween candy bowl, when I sat at the front help desk, I brought in a bowl of fruit (apples, oranges , bananas ) .... I think one person took something in week. It was sad people! So I am start at a vanilla pound cake, a blueberry crumble cake, a frosting covered brownie, and Oj ...well I suppose the OJ is good for you. Yummmy for it all.....I couldn't resist because 1 I hadn't had breakfast so I was sta...

A Dozen Later

Okay so it hasn't been a bakers dozen of years....oh wait it has been. I can do math, yay! Anyone miss me? This blog? Guess not since even I forgot about it! Whoopsydaisy! I will eventually catch ya'll up but basically in the last 13 years I've bought a house (2011), got a new car (Jeep, 2018) and got married (2019). I also avoided catching COVID during the pandemic. The pandemic resulted me working remotly from home which resulted me to lose about 30lbs. So, I am on the downhill side of the scale. Yay! Far from my goal weight but better than I was 2 years ago! My plan is to ressurect this blog with my hopefully-still-there writing skills so I can vent out my life to readers and to entertain you at the same time so as to keep you coming back for more!

Din din....

Store bought pre-made rotisserie chicken and a single serving of steamed corn. Pretty tasty for an quickie dinner. since I've started this I've lost about 15 lbs but I tend to fluctuate those last 5 lbs. Its been, what over a month and half? Not too bad I guess but I know I could have done better had I moved more. same ol ' story with that LOL Laundry and catching up on my magazine reading is on my schedule tonight .... Speaking of...laundry is calling!!
