The guilt

I wish the guilt that I carry around for various things, minor or major would magically help me lose weight but alas....it's a fairytale. I think at one time or another we all wished for that magic wand with special "tone this body part" abilities and "reduce this fat" options. While I'm not opposed to working out, it just seems boring, much as I consider, ironically, cooking, hence why I'm not a big fan of either. However in both cases, once I dive into either one of them I am quite committed at the time. I need an implant on my brain to help motivate me into either one of those....because that is all I really need, the repeat Cliff Pusher.
However, the weather can be the CP at times, like for instance when we've had a long cold winter and Spring comes in with a force of 60 degree weather like we've had over the last few days. It gets everyone outside.
Plus Spring indicates a new season of gardening, my favorite and preferred type of exercise. I love the smell of freshly mown grass, tilled dirt, fresh flowers...*sigh*
I've had a slight step back and have gained a few pounds so I need to get back into my non-fast food routine and get out side.
For my upcoming birthday (19th) my family bought me Wii with Wii Fit Plus/Balance Board. I am very excited about this and have managed to set up the Wii w/o any difficulty and now am awaiting the balance board to arrive (that was very difficult to find in stock). Yah for Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.....LOL
Oh and btw, all these weeks of not having spell check, i just went back to using the "old editor" and voila! I have the spell check button again. Thank goodness!
Toodles til later...

Work pitch-ins

Today is Boss's day and my area brought in breakfast food for our boss. My office is notorious about bringing in food for just about any holiday, celebration, whatever that we can think of. And its not like we all love to bake, half the time its store bought. lol My sister is amazed we don't all weigh 500 pounds because as we all know the food we bring in is far from healthy. Sure once in a while someone will bring in fruit salad. Heck I even brought salad makings once (which wasn't eaten as much as the other stuff mind you). One time instead of the typical Halloween candy bowl, when I sat at the front help desk, I brought in a bowl of fruit (apples, oranges , bananas ) .... I think one person took something in week. It was sad people! So I am start at a vanilla pound cake, a blueberry crumble cake, a frosting covered brownie, and Oj ...well I suppose the OJ is good for you. Yummmy for it all.....I couldn't resist because 1 I hadn't had breakfast so I was sta...

A Dozen Later

Okay so it hasn't been a bakers dozen of years....oh wait it has been. I can do math, yay! Anyone miss me? This blog? Guess not since even I forgot about it! Whoopsydaisy! I will eventually catch ya'll up but basically in the last 13 years I've bought a house (2011), got a new car (Jeep, 2018) and got married (2019). I also avoided catching COVID during the pandemic. The pandemic resulted me working remotly from home which resulted me to lose about 30lbs. So, I am on the downhill side of the scale. Yay! Far from my goal weight but better than I was 2 years ago! My plan is to ressurect this blog with my hopefully-still-there writing skills so I can vent out my life to readers and to entertain you at the same time so as to keep you coming back for more!

Din din....

Store bought pre-made rotisserie chicken and a single serving of steamed corn. Pretty tasty for an quickie dinner. since I've started this I've lost about 15 lbs but I tend to fluctuate those last 5 lbs. Its been, what over a month and half? Not too bad I guess but I know I could have done better had I moved more. same ol ' story with that LOL Laundry and catching up on my magazine reading is on my schedule tonight .... Speaking of...laundry is calling!!
