delayed but not forgotten

Did you think I'd given up? Forgotten about the blog? Naahhhhh....I was just avoiding it per se because of several reasons....
1. I didn't have too much to write about
2. I'm still peeve about the spell check button missing
3. I just didn't have inspiration

I still have all the above issue but thought I should update ya'll anyhow.

So Thanksgiving came and went without much fanfare and without pounds gained I'm happy to report. I have in fact lost another 5lbs since I last report. Tho it fluxuates, as always so total lost is between 15-20 lbs. Whohooo! Now if I could get my fat ass off the couch and exercising I'd lose more I'm sure. And now that it's winter out (we had our first barely there snow fall today) it'll be harder than ever b/c I don't have the option to take outdoor walks. Well of course I could do that if I bundled up but I have health issue that prevents me....aka my asthma. Asthma and me breathing in cold weather are not a good combo. I almost always have breathing problems. Fun times right! Anyhow...on to other things
I'm taken on a test (that I initiated) about eating more fruit specifically more bananas. I need the potassium (if my leg cramps have anything to say about it) and I'd like to get rid of the latter. They are very painful and annoying. So I think I've mentioned my diskile of banans. This morning I had it with my oatmeal. WHohooo was kind like eating banana bread. Yummmm
Xmas is two and half weeks away and with that comes holiday parties and home cooking which of course my indulgance of drinking more alcholo than I normally do. I will try to watch myself but hey, given the rare opportuntiy, I should partake right? I even have the urge to bake things for people but I'm current fightly the take over of a cold so until I feel 100% I'm not baking anything for anyone buy myself. LOL
I did get my H1N1 shot yesterday so at least I'm prepared in that manner which frankly, for an asthmatic and all that I"ve hear about this scary flu, I'm glad I got it.
Update on the the "no spell check button" issue - I consulted an expert and he pointed toward a forum by the developers explaining why there is no spell check anymore....it's the dumbest thing I ever heard. Apparently since blogstpot is a international blog that everyone/anyone in any language could write, to have a spell check which spell check's english is not worth it. Frankly why not set your spell check for the language youare writing in? Anyhow so they purposly got rid of it which really irks me. So now I have to, if I want good spelling, to copy/paste my blogs into a secondary spell check program and then copy/paste the final version.
I'm not doing that this time...or maybe never....you'll have to suffer thru my bad spelling, Kirkman abbreviations, and horrendous grammer. You can consult me if you don't understand something and I'll translate...LOL
Ok well that's all I got for now. Till next time!
Toodles!

Work pitch-ins

Today is Boss's day and my area brought in breakfast food for our boss. My office is notorious about bringing in food for just about any holiday, celebration, whatever that we can think of. And its not like we all love to bake, half the time its store bought. lol My sister is amazed we don't all weigh 500 pounds because as we all know the food we bring in is far from healthy. Sure once in a while someone will bring in fruit salad. Heck I even brought salad makings once (which wasn't eaten as much as the other stuff mind you). One time instead of the typical Halloween candy bowl, when I sat at the front help desk, I brought in a bowl of fruit (apples, oranges , bananas ) .... I think one person took something in week. It was sad people! So I am start at a vanilla pound cake, a blueberry crumble cake, a frosting covered brownie, and Oj ...well I suppose the OJ is good for you. Yummmy for it all.....I couldn't resist because 1 I hadn't had breakfast so I was sta...

A Dozen Later

Okay so it hasn't been a bakers dozen of years....oh wait it has been. I can do math, yay! Anyone miss me? This blog? Guess not since even I forgot about it! Whoopsydaisy! I will eventually catch ya'll up but basically in the last 13 years I've bought a house (2011), got a new car (Jeep, 2018) and got married (2019). I also avoided catching COVID during the pandemic. The pandemic resulted me working remotly from home which resulted me to lose about 30lbs. So, I am on the downhill side of the scale. Yay! Far from my goal weight but better than I was 2 years ago! My plan is to ressurect this blog with my hopefully-still-there writing skills so I can vent out my life to readers and to entertain you at the same time so as to keep you coming back for more!

Din din....

Store bought pre-made rotisserie chicken and a single serving of steamed corn. Pretty tasty for an quickie dinner. since I've started this I've lost about 15 lbs but I tend to fluctuate those last 5 lbs. Its been, what over a month and half? Not too bad I guess but I know I could have done better had I moved more. same ol ' story with that LOL Laundry and catching up on my magazine reading is on my schedule tonight .... Speaking of...laundry is calling!!
